"Il Papiro and its hand decorated papers, were created in 1976 in Florence, Italy, by Francesco Giannini and Gianni Parenti, two, at the time, young men with a strong passion for the Florentine crafts.

It was natural for them, born and grown up in Florence, to base their activity on the artisanal tradition of their city, keeping alive many old techniques of paper decoration like marbleizing or xylography, to produce objects, with an everlasting aesthetical value, not dependent from the fashion of the moment.
